Some of you who are part of the modern tech era will find this an appealing avenue to improve any movement pattern from simple posture while walking to weight training to golfing. Health apps and nudges are so popular there are international symposiums and research on the topic. My colleagues have said the FREE version of this particular app has been a valuable resource for coaching clients on many aspects of training. It is called HUDL. For those of you who are following Miranda’s book on stretching exercises, you can even see your own exercise patterns and compare it to the pictures.
When it comes to changing behavioral patterns it helps to feel empowered. Sometimes what is misaligned in posture or performance may feel normal or even good. This can lead to overuse injuries and eventually ‘overuse arthritis’. Repetition of training with tension or faulty movement patterns will simply make a deeper imprint within the brain and soft tissues of the body. We all know that exercise is good for your health but the benefits of movement depends on the quality and quantity of performance. Maybe this app will be the perfect coach to assist you in improving what is important to you.
HUDL – check it out and let me know what you think about it. I would love to hear your feedback:)
