    The Essentrics Barre exercise program offered at Studio Fitness is the same program that has been aired on PBS as ‘Classical Stretch’ since 1999. It has been rated the #1 fitness show on the network for over 10 years. Essentrics is used by numerous business professionals, Olympic athletes and celebrities. This Essentrics stretch class will help slow down the aging process while keeping the body young, attractive, strong and healthy. Participants will notice an immediate increase in flexibility and a release of tension in their muscles after each class – improving their posture and range of motion. Stress is released and aches and pains are soothed through the gradual unlocking of the entire body.     Gentle Pilates is a good class to cover basic principles of proper alignment and body mechanics, isolate the muscles and restore a balance to the body; to focus on engaging and strengthening all the core muscles to improve fitness and prevent injuries. Discover a pace that protects the joints and former injuries of the body by encouraging strong and conscious movement to gain flow and grace in everyday movements. Full body strength and flexibility will relieve pain, unlock tight muscles and joints, strengthen your core postural muscles and create a youthful feeling in the body. The exercises will rejuvenate blood flow which will benefit the vascular system and help alleviate inflammation as well as increase full body flexibility.

  • Gentle Bungee

    Gentle Bungee exercises target more than just muscles - the fascia gets a dynamic workout as well. It takes 12-18 months to build new soft tissue so working out in manners that challenges elastic fiber growth is extremely important, especially when we reach an age that tends to decline in muscle and collagen manufacturing. CLASS COST = 5 Credits ($25). Space is Limited. Pre-registration required. No Drop-ins.

    The Bungee Fitness system was designed by a trauma surgeon to treat his patients immediately following surgery to prevent muscle atrophy. The exercises target more than just muscles – the fascia gets a dynamic workout as well. It takes 12-18 months to build new soft tissue so working out in manners that challenges elastic fiber growth is extremely important, especially when we reach an age that tends to decline in muscle and collagen manufacturing. When the body is challenged in controlled, dynamic movements the body rises to the challenge and builds stronger tissue fibers according to Orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Gharavi.

    A body doesn’t just need to fire the muscles while you are doing a workout – it needs to know how to fire when you are moving through everyday life.
